Someone mentioned Bill Nye the Science Guy in her entry. That reminded me that I went to middle and high school with Bill Nye's nephew. I was even kind of friends with him for a while. I think he goes to Cornell now. Bill Nye came to our high school science fair one year, and my friend Matt had an autographed picture of him in his locker.
Everybody knows at least one celebrity at least casually. It makes absolute sense that mine would be Bill Nye the Science Guy, perhaps the ultimate nerd celebrity. Excepting Weird Al, of course.
Allyourbase.net is just disturbing. Speaking of the collective nerd consciousness.
I'm at my parents' house. I kind of like it here. I've satisfied my cereal craving and I don't have to go to class. And there aren't any ants in the kitchen, and it's mostly warm enough. When I get back to Charlottesville, I'll have to work extra hours at the radio station to prepare for the fundraiser, and I'll have to take my Shakespeare midterm (I've still got some studying left to do for that), and I'll have to pay the #(*&$!@ utility bills. I really wish someone else in the house would pick up some of the slack when I'm gone, but no.
I've been reading We Are Still Married, by Garrison Keillor. It's all moving and amazing and stuff. I'd say inspiring, but it's obviously not currently inspiring me to write anything interesting. I'm a little bit of a space cadet at the moment.
I'm going to call Curtis and say hi. Maybe then I'll be able to sleep.
